Privacy policy
AOVify is a Shopify app made by Build Grow Scale ("we"). It shows upsell offers in a merchant's store. This policy explains what the app stores, why, and for how long.
What we store
- Store details: your shop domain, currency, timezone, language, plan, and app settings, plus an encrypted Shopify access token.
- Offers and funnels you create, and your design settings.
- Order data for revenue tracking: order ID, order number, line items (product, variant, quantity, price, discount), order totals, refunded amounts, and currency.
- Order counts: your store's total number of orders in the last 30 days, used only to apply plan limits.
- Anonymous session events: offer views, clicks, accepts, and declines, tied to a random session ID and device type. These are only sent when the shopper's privacy choices allow analytics.
What we never store
We do not store customer names, email addresses, phone numbers, postal addresses, payment details, or Shopify customer IDs. The app does not request access to customer data.
Why we store it
To show the right offers, apply offer discounts at checkout, measure upsell revenue accurately, send the reports you schedule to the store owner's email, and apply plan limits.
Order tagging
When enabled in Settings, AOVify adds one tag (for example "AOVify Offer Accepted") to orders that contain an accepted upsell. It never removes or changes other tags. You can turn this off at any time.
Retention
- Raw session events are kept for up to 400 days, then deleted. Daily summaries are kept while the app is installed.
- Order data is kept while the app is installed so analytics stay accurate.
- When you uninstall, your access token is deleted immediately. Shopify then sends a shop deletion request (about 48 hours later), and we delete all of your store's data, including uploaded images.
Shopify privacy requests (GDPR)
- Customer data request: we hold no customer-identifying data, so there is nothing to export. We confirm this to Shopify.
- Customer redaction: no customer-identifying data is stored, so nothing needs to be removed.
- Shop redaction: all data for the store is permanently deleted.
Subprocessors
- Hosting: Lovable (on Cloudflare's network) runs the app.
- Database and file storage: Supabase stores app data in encrypted, access-controlled databases.
- Shopify, which hosts your store and processes all payments.
Requesting deletion
Uninstalling the app deletes your data automatically. To request deletion sooner, or to ask any privacy question, email support@aovify.io from the store owner's email. We respond within 30 days.
